Community Guidelines

These Guidelines form part of our Terms of Service. They exist partly because the Online Safety Act 2023 requires us to be clear about what we do not allow and how we deal with it, and partly because a community works better when everyone knows where the line is.
The short version
RevNet is for people who like cars and bikes. Be the sort of person other members are glad turned up.
What RevNet is for
Finding roads worth driving. Meeting people who care about the same things. Getting help when you break down, and helping when someone else does. Buying and selling. Showing off your build. Getting a stolen bike back.
What gets you removed
Dangerous driving content. No racing on public roads. No street takeovers. No filming speedometers at three figures. No burnouts, donuts or wheelies on the public highway, and no footage of them. A road being fun is not an invitation to drive like an idiot on it.
Behaviour that gets meets shut down. Most meets happen somewhere that tolerates them. Revving in a residential car park at 11pm, blocking a business's entrance, leaving litter, refusing to go when asked — that ends the meet for everyone, permanently. Do not be the reason.
Harassment. No abuse, threats, stalking, pile-ons, or following someone around the app. This includes turning up somewhere because you saw where someone was.
Doxxing. Do not post anyone's home address, phone number, workplace, registration or precise location without their consent. This includes "name and shame" posts about a seller, a driver or a neighbour.
Hate. Nothing targeting people for race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or nationality.
Scams and fraud. No fake listings, no items you do not have, no bait-and-switch, no payment requests for something the buyer has not seen, no advance-fee arrangements.
Stolen goods. Do not list anything stolen, or anything you have reason to think might be. Do not list a vehicle with undisclosed outstanding finance.
False stolen-vehicle reports. Reporting a vehicle you do not own, or a vehicle that has not been stolen, publishes a real person's registration to the internet as a suspected criminal. It is a criminal offence and we will close your account and cooperate with the police.
Anything involving children. No sexual content involving anyone under 18, no grooming, no content that sexualises or endangers a child. We report this to the authorities without exception.
Illegal items. No weapons, no devices for defeating vehicle security, no cloned keys, no mileage-correction devices sold for unlawful use, no emissions-defeat devices for road cars.
Spam. No unsolicited commercial messages, no mass-posting, no using RevNet to advertise something unrelated.
Fake reviews. Do not review your own business, a competitor, or somewhere you have not dealt with. Do not pay for reviews or post one you were paid for.
Impersonation. Do not pretend to be someone else, or claim a business or club you do not run.
Things that are not against the rules but are worth saying
Modified exhausts. Legal is legal. But be aware that noise is the single most common reason a venue stops hosting a meet, and that a lot of the exhausts sold as road-legal are not.
Photographs at meets. You will end up in other people's photos and they will end up in yours. Blur other people's plates where you can. If someone asks you to take a photo down, take it down.
Private clubs. Content in a private club can be screenshotted. Do not post anything there you would mind seeing elsewhere.
Meeting people. Most of RevNet ends with meeting someone in person — at a meet, on a drive, to view a car, or when someone comes to help you at the roadside. Tell someone where you are going. Meet somewhere public where you can. Leave if you are uncomfortable. This applies to everyone, and especially if you are under 18.
Reporting
Every piece of content and every profile has a report button. Use it. You can also email legal@revnet.club.
We read every report. We do not tell you what action we took against another member, but we do tell you that we have looked at it.
If something is urgent — someone is in danger, a child is at risk, or a crime is happening — contact the police first, then tell us.
What happens when we act
Depending on what has happened, we may:
- remove the content
- restrict a feature
- suspend the account
- close the account permanently
- report to the police or another authority
We act faster and harder on anything involving safety, children, fraud, or a risk to someone who is not a RevNet member.
We do not review content before it is published. We rely on reports and on our own monitoring.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, email legal@revnet.club. A person will look at it again. Tell us what happened and why you think the decision was wrong.
Changes
We update these Guidelines as the community grows and as we learn what actually goes wrong. The current version is always here with the date it took effect.
